Have you checked Teen Voices out yet? Teen Voices is a non-profit organization which features an intensive journalism mentoring and leadership program that aims to empower girls through the media. Teen Voices does this by using content created by girls for girls, sponsoring a mentorship program in which Boston area teens, primarily girls of color from low-income families, are paired with a college aged mentor to guide them through the editorial process of producing magazine articles.
The Fall/Winter issue of Teen Voices magazine is now out! Featuring articles on everything from women in politics to Operation Beautiful to girl activists, it consistently focuses on substance over style. Check it out:
