…we were compiling  a list of super cool girl-fueled things on the Internet so you didn’t have to! Here’s some of our favorite things from the past few weeks, starting with this ADORABLE comic from Judy Horacek:

TEDxWomen happened! And it was amazing! Check out our girls Izzy & Julia talk about our Seventeen action, Anita Sarkeesian lay it down about sexual harassment in gaming and on the Internet, and our friend Emily May from Hollaback talk about street harassment and how to battle it.

In November, Arabelle Sicardi (a.k.a. Fashion Pirate) wrote about Mimi Smith, who was part of the Feminist Art Movement, in a Lingerie Sunday post (Magical Lingerie Moments with Arabelle Sicardi are not things to miss), and it’s really awesome and interesting.

13-year-old McKenna Pope’s brother wants a dinosaur and an Easy-Bake oven for Christmas.  Unfortunately, when Pope went to buy the Easy-Bake oven for her brother, there were no colors other than pink available.  She decided to petition Hasbro asking the Easy-Bake oven to be made in gender-neutral colors–and they agreed! You go, girl!

Speaking of gendered toys, our partners at New Moon Girls are taking it to the next level! They’re asking Target to ditch gender-segregated toy aisles altogether. It worked in the UK, why not in the US? Sign on and join them!

Remember Seventeen’s gross and inaccurate BMI calculator? Thanks to this great petition, it has been taken down!

The Hobbit came out last week, so it’s the perfect time to read Pixie from Rookie Mag’s amazing and moving article about how Lord of the Rings helped her cope with her eating disorder.

SPARK activists Britney, Sariel and Ying Ying were on a panel about feminism past, present, and future with Gloria Steinem. As always, they debated with grace and knowledge and made us proud. Britney wrote about the experience at Rookie, and Ying Ying recounted it for The Huffington Post–watch for the special to air on Nickelodeon in March!

Also, Rookie’s tribute to Emily Dickinson is just the best.

Finally, we’re having a contest! We’ve teamed up with our partners at PBG to talk back to Spencer’s disgusting misogynist t-shirts–and we’ve got prizes! Check out the rules and enter today!
