Are you passionate about challenging sexism, racism, homophobia and other forms of injustice that impact girls’ lives? Do you want to connect with other young activists? Are you hungry to make a difference?

The SPARK Action Squad (SAS) is an international, online, action-focused space for young feminists. Over 400 strong and growing, the SPARK Action Squad fosters a community of young activists that engage in dialogue about the intersectional injustices girls face and channels girls’ thirst for change into concrete action. We offer activist trainings, bookclubs, movie screenings, discussions with leading feminists and changemakers and create monthly actions that folks everywhere can do online or locally.

The SPARK Action Squad is now hosted at About-Face , a non-profit organization based in San Francisco that equips women and girls with tools to understand and resist harmful media messages. About-Face inspires teen girls to take action in their own ways, including on-the-ground actions, online petitions, and social action campaigns. They also lead Media and Action workshops and curriculum in schools and organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area for teens and their adult advocates.
